SPONSORSHIP & COMMUNITY

Helping others leads to higher level of happiness

Performing an act of kindness for someone or a charity with a need and asking for nothing in return is Cirrus’ guiding principle of Paying it Forward. Understanding how fortunate we are and how good it feels to give back to the community leads to a higher level of happiness to all involved.

SHALOM HOUSE

Cirrus donated gifts to each State with our Christmas tree initiative, and we encouraged staff, our partners, vendors and suppliers to participate as well.

Perth chose to give gifts to Shalom House, helping children who have been significantly impacted by drugs within their family, most of which have lost everything and being fostered around various families. Shalom has been recognised as running the most successful drug rehabilitation program in Australia and almost all of the people that go through the program come out debt-free and have their family and lives restored.

KIDS IN CARE

Cirrus donated gifts to each State with our Christmas tree initiative, and we encouraged staff, our partners, vendors and suppliers to participate as well.

Canberra opted for kids who are in care, via the organisation Kids in Care ACT. Their purpose is to advance social and public welfare by providing support to any at-risk children and those living in poverty without discrimination within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

ALLANNAH & MADELINE FOUNDATION

Cirrus donated gifts to each State with our Christmas tree initiative, and we encouraged staff, our partners, vendors and suppliers to participate as well.

Melbourne chose the Allannah & Madeline Foundation, which was set-up after the 1996 Port Arthur Massacre. It was there that Alannah and Madeline Mikac, aged six and three, along with their mother, died that day. The Foundation cares for children who have experienced or witnessed serious violence and runs evidence-based programs that prevent violence and advocate for children’s safety and wellbeing.

LIGHTHOUSE FOUNDATION

Cirrus backed the Lighthouse Foundation who provide homeless young people from backgrounds of long-term neglect and abuse, with a home, a sense of family, and around-the-clock therapeutic care that is individually tailored, trauma informed and proven to work.

Cirrus donated printers, tablets, backpacks and coffee cups so the Lighthouse Foundation can run on a daily basis with a few essentials.

Cirrus also donated 4 Samsung Galaxy Tablets at their Customer Appreciation Gala so the Lighthouse Foundation could raffle them off. This raised $1800 which Cirrus then matched. At the end of the night, there was $4000.00 raised.

Cirrus recently volunteered their time as part of National Homelessness week (7–13 August 2017) for the Lighthouse Foundation, #StickItToHomelessness in the Melbourne CBD handing out stickers and creating awareness. The 44,000 stickers represent the number of young people who are homeless in Australia on any given night.
